Quartz Sand filter

I. Product Overview
Quartz sand filtration is one of the most effective means of removing suspended solids from water. Typically serving as pretreatment for water treatment equipment, it primarily retains, adsorbs, and removes suspended solids, colloids, silt, rust, and other impurities in water through filter media. Commonly used in water purification and wastewater treatment, quartz sand filters are widely applied due to their pollution-free nature, low price, and low operating costs. Common filter materials include stainless steel 304 and carbon steel, with internal corrosion protection typically provided by epoxy resin or rubber lining. Water distribution systems often feature flare-type water distribution, basket water distribution at the top, and flat, dome-shaped, or stainless steel pipe-type water distribution at the bottom. Water distribution nozzles may include ABS mushroom heads and stainless steel cylindrical wire-wrapped nozzles. Considering the backwashing of quartz sand filters, the flux of the water distributor is generally about three times the operating flow rate.

II. Operating Principle
Quartz sand filters utilize quartz sand as the filtration media. This media boasts significant advantages such as high strength, long lifespan, large treatment capacity, and stable and reliable effluent quality. By using a water pump to pressurize the raw water and pass it through the filtration media, suspended solids in the water are removed, achieving the purpose of filtration.

III. Technical Characteristics

1.Unique multi-chamber structure enabling online backwashing (filtration, blowdown, and backwashing occur simultaneously).

2.Tank material options include carbon steel, stainless steel, and fiberglass reinforced plastic based on system water pressure.
